Chrome OS most know as the browser OS for your old PC is just getting better and better like every google product in the last few months and years. Especially the devices of the company are one of the best in the Electornic brands.
Pixel 6 & Pixel 6 Pro
Let us see what’s new in the electronics until we step further to the Chrome OS. First of all, the smartphones are really great, and they are getting better every year, just like we expect from this big company. The latest models, one regular model and the best of them this year—the pro model. They call them Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. They look so similar, but the pro model is bigger and has better specs like more storage, more ram, better display resolution, better battery and don’t forget better camera.
Let me tell you more about Pixel 6 Pro:
- 128-512GB Storage
- 12GB Ram
- 3 Main Cameras (only 2 for regular model)
- 6.71″ Display size
I think this is the better deal – Pixel 6 Pro. If you are getting something, just get the better model. Don’t worry about the money, you’ll waste them sooner or later.
Now let’s talk about
Chrome OS
This is an awesome and light browser-based or chrome-based OS. It’s like you start the browser, and you have it just like every other browser. I have tested it before a few years ago, and I’m happy to tell you that I liked it. Now I’m using a Mac, but maybe my old Mac will go for the next thing that you’ll read down below.
Chrome OS gives you the opportunity to play Android Games on your computer. I’m not sure if it’s still supported, but it was one of the best things I have ever seen.
You can download everything like you do on your windows or mac, you have infinity apps to choose from in the Google Play Store and even Torrents if you want to be a pirate.
You can download Google Office Package for using them offline, but I tried to use this OS offline, and it’s not so perfect. It was not so perfect, maybe they fixed all the issues, and now it is working great. We’ll see soon, because I will try it next week when I reach my old MacBook Air.
Chrome OS Flex
This is the newest release of this OS, which is the best thing I have ever seen. Maybe I’m saying it twice in this blogpost, but don’t blame me please.
Your old PC or Mac can be your new chromebook, just go and search in Google for it. It is enough to download it on a flashdrive and just to install. The previous version of this OS which was only Chrome OS, without the Flex extension wasn’t free to use.
You were able to use it only if you already bought a Chromebook. In our poor country, we were not able to buy a Chromebook, because there was no one like a reseller to reach the customer. In the last few months I saw a few Chromebooks in one of the famous online stores in Bulgaria and that’s it for the last few years.
I think they learned their lesson from the past few years and Chrome OS Flex is absolutely free, and you can download it from the official google website!
Chrome OS Flex will help the e-waste and extend the life of your devices by transforming them with mother cloud-based or chrome-based or browser-based OS.
